ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY - I went to edgewater one year after the deadly storm to take some pictures.  Edgewater was very different in some places and hardly changed in others.  The gournd  is still covered with all manner of material used to  make houses.  Wood, pieces of metal, fiberglass,  you name it.  Below is what now passes for a tree in Edgewater.  Little or no limbs,  no leaves.  and twisted tin roofing for decoration.

Above is a common sight in Edgewater Today. A stack of bricks from who knows where.  Perhaps this is all that remains of their house or perhaps they plan to use them as lining for a garden.  I have a brick from my grandmothers house to use as a car-stop.

A street in Edgewater today.  Many new houses have been built.  Because the lots were originally so small many people bought two lots togather to meet modern building codes. The people and survivers of the april tornado have moved on, and time will slowly erase the scars left behind by that terrible force of nature. But hopefully the incredable story of the people of this special place will not be forgotten..
